Baladi & Inertia Fitness is a personalized fitness and lifestyle studio serving the greater Moncton area.  Our customized fitness programs place an emphasis on integrating exercise with rehabilitation, and incorporating fun fitness alternatives including belly dance and group fitness classes.  The private setting and great atmosphere allow you to meet new people, relax, and of course achieve your fitness goals.  Our staff of personal trainers and dance instructors offer in excess of 20 years of experience. 

It is our professional opinion that the best results are achieved when your fitness program includes several different forms of exercise.  We have carefully designed our programs to compliment each other and to help members reach their goals safely and effectively through diligent adherence and education.  Our focus is on gradual and consistent gains in strength, muscular and cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility, balance, posture, and grace.

Jeanette is passionate about helping women find strength and confidence through exercise.  A motivating leader in women's fitness, she encourages students to lift weights, run, jump, stretch, and dance.  Her teaching emphasizes a balanced exploration of human movement in all these areas, in order to maximize results and improve body awareness.

Jeanette's Fitness Interests and Experience:

  • Jeanette works and trains with Joel Melanson of Inertia Fitness.  Their focus is on basic strength training, and physical conditioning including kettlebell training.
  • Olympic Style Weightlifting.  She trains under Hani Kanama, owner and head coach of the Toronto Weightlifting Club/Kanama High Performance (Toronto, ON)
  • Bellyfit Master Instructor in Training.  She trains under Bellyfit Creator, Alice Bracegirdle (Victoria, BC)
  • Practices Yoga regularly under Lisa Roy of Bodywise Yoga Studio (Moncton, NB)
  • Belly Dance.  Trained under Professional Belly Dancer Nada Lanteigne (Moncton, NB)
  • Former Fitness Model Competitor.  Coached and trained under Pam Stillwell-Boon (Moncton, NB)

 

About Tina

Tina Wagner has been studying movement seriously since 1998.  She began with ballet and modern and has been studying and teaching Belly Dancing since 2002.  She spent three years with Studio Sephira where she began her belly dance education.  Tina has also studied with many other wonderful and knowledgeable instructors throughout Nova Scotia and New Brunswick as well as high profile international instructors such as Hadia, Tara Star, LaLa Hakim, Morocco, and Tarik.  She has performed and taught throughout the Maritimes, and has been asked to speak about the benefits of belly dancing on television and in newspapers.  Tina has also been a guest performer for other dance schools.  She continues to study dance and movement as a way to keep her classes "fresh." 

Tina now teaches at Baladi Fitness and she feels very comfortable in her new home.  Her classes are dynamic and challenging.  Her classes are structured in levels, which allows for students to choose where they want to be without feeling pushed and also without holding anyone back.

Since the start of her movement education and the birth of her two children, Tina has also taken an interest in health and wellbeing.  Finding her balance and helping other women find their balance is her passion.  Studying food, meditation, fitness, and dance has become an obsession - in a good way.  Helping to free women from silly hang-ups and crazy expectations is her goal!
